THE SUNDAY CLUB

Are you looking for something to do on Sunday afternoons? The St Barnabas Sunday Club meets every Sunday from 2.30 to 4.30.

What is it?
The club members are adults of all ages from the local area around the church who come together for a chat and whatever informal activities they choose - eg quizzes, music, games or joke telling. Events have included bingo, bring and buy sales, 'sing-alongs', music quizzes, and talks by members and visitors. The main emphasis is on friendship, relaxing together and having a good tea.

The members don't have to belong to the church, or be a Christian, to join, and it's free! We have a Bible reading, a "Thought for the Day" and a prayer before we go home each week.

This is a new and valuable ministry through which St Barnabas is reaching out into the local community. We aim to offer friendship to those who live around us and give them an opportunity to experience, through us, something of God's love for themselves.

Can I get involved?
There are may ways in becoming involved - you can help with activities at club meetings, make tea or be involved in organising things. Whatever your gift, there is almost certainly a role for you and we would love to hear from you. If you are interested in becoming involved why not get in touch to find out more.
